Data monetization
The initiative covers internal monetization and monetization with third parties, with data under its owner's control. It combines the practices each case requires and starts with a maturity assessment of the data behind the prioritized cases.
Line 1
Internal monetization
Cross-sell across products and companies of the same group, upsell and next-best-offer on validated analytics.
Line 2
Monetization with third parties
Data products for credit bureaus, fintech, insurers and retail: scores, audience matches and anonymized aggregates.
Starting point
Maturity assessment
Assessment of the data behind the candidate cases to determine which are viable in their current state and which capabilities the rest require.
Requirements by type of case
Monetization requires a minimum level of maturity in the data of each case. Outdated information, data without an owner or a single customer spread across several identities compromises its viability. The assessment evaluates the data of the candidate cases and determines which are viable in their current state.
Required level by dimension
Upsell on the existing base has the lowest requirement; third-party products, the highest
| Dimension | Upsell on the existing base | Cross-sell within the group | Third-party product |

| Measured quality | Medium | Medium | High |

| Control of exposed information | Basic | Medium | High |

It exists and has an assigned owner.
It is measured, documented and reviewed periodically.
It is controlled, traceable and auditable.
Maturity ladder of a case
The ladder describes the maturity of a case, not a contracting sequence. The assessment determines the entry step: when the data meets the required level, the case advances directly; otherwise, only the capabilities that case requires are reinforced.

Cross-cutting block
Agentic layer
It comprises governance agents that monitor quality and classification, analyst agents that answer queries on validated data and agents that identify cross-sell opportunities. Each agent operates within an explicit authority boundary between autonomous actions and decisions reserved for a person.
Monetization with third parties
Third-party monetization routes
Credit bureaus, fintech, insurers and retail value attributes an organization already computes. Three routes are considered; in all of them a derived result is exposed rather than the individual record, with a different degree of control for the data owner.
Scores or attributes API
- Buyer
- Credit bureaus and fintech.
- Deliverable
- Computed score or attribute, per query.
- Owner's control
- High: the owner defines what is exposed, to whom and at what per-query rate.
Clean room
- Buyer
- Partner companies, insurers and retail.
- Deliverable
- Audience match without exchanging records.
- Owner's control
- High: neither party accesses the other's data.
Aggregates marketplace
- Buyer
- Organizations analyzing trends in a sector or region.
- Deliverable
- Anonymized indices and aggregates.
- Owner's control
- Medium: depends on the level of aggregation and on anonymization.
Privacy and consent are resolved within the case's governance: every route is designed with personal data classified and the authorized purpose defined.
Two ways to start
If you already know what your problem is, write to us directly. If you don't know where to start, the self-assessment places you.
Tell us about your case
You tell us the problem. We tell you whether it's ours, how we'd approach it and what we'd need from your side. No questionnaire first.
Write to GalacticaIAData maturity self-assessment
Questions about the state of your data. At the end you get your maturity level and what to move first.
